Position Overview

This position includes Installation and troubleshooting of Microwave systems for clients in the telecommunications industry, throughout the region. Work requires driving to various locations working out of town for extended days and hours, weekends, and nights at times as required.

General Job Requirements

  • Experience working in tower construction environment is a plus
  • Ability to work at elevated heights

Job Specific Requirements
  • Work with the construction crew on site to complete the job scope. Installation may also be required alongside commissioning and integration tasks.
  • Work with commissioning & integration deployment teams on turning up new backhaul, cell site migrations and new site build activities.
  • Perform Commissioning; Integration activities on live and NSD sites.
  • Implement Cell Site Router configurations on the following network devices (7250 IXR, Ceragon and Ericsson routers).
  • Support successful cell site MW links.
  • Support field implementation and performance troubleshooting efforts.
  • Share knowledge with other team members on network devices or operating systems.
  • Competent Rigger (Preferred)
  • Ability to always utilize 100% tie off techniques
  • Complete reports related to project status, progress, or other work details, using computer software.
Qualifications & Certifications, Work Schedule

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • US work authorization (Required).
  • Associates Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field (Preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Tower Climber Certification (Preferred)
  • Minimum 10 Hour OSHA Training (Preferred)
  • RF Safety Training (Preferred)
  • A qualified candidate will have 1-2 or more years; experience working at telecommunications sites (i.e., MW, router installation, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc.)
  • Experience with Installation, commissioning and integration of Nokia equipment. Nokia Certifications.
  • Must have own vehicle, laptop and basic tools necessary for complete integration work.
  • Computer and MS Office Proficient.
  • Valid driver’s license.

 

Work Schedule: Between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Location: Site locations will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas with possible travel throughout the state of Texas (and other states)
